I thought everyone could use a good laugh. I was researching some US patents today and came across this one. Check out US patent # 1,997,906 pattented by M. Jelalian April 16, 1935 for a winged naval airship.:LOL:

I think Jelalian was reading a little to much Jules Verne. As a matter of fact I found another of his patents today. Check out US patent # 1,668,720 from May 8,1928. This one also has flapping wings, I guess the one in 1935 was supposed to be an improvement. What really gets me though is that the United States Patent Office actually issued a patent for these things.
