I have an excellent booklet published by the Zeppelin Museum in Friedrichshafen on the LZ-2. I was told there is a similar book on LZ-4 but this is no longer listed on their Shop website. If anyone has this book, I would like to get a copy! Either that or good quality scans of the photos. I don't speak or read German so I am mainly looking for photos and other reference info. Thanks!

The book is called Die Fahrten des Luftschiffs Zeppelin 4 1908 by Lutz Tittel and is no longer available from the Zeppelin-Museum.de but is still readily available in Germany. Unfortunately, I don't speak German which makes it difficult for me to order from here in the US. I have seen this on German eBay (there is one on right now that ends tomorrow!) and at German websites that sell books.
If any of our members live in Germany and can get this book for me, I'd greatly appreciate it! I use PayPal and can send a payment as soon as you have it ready to ship. Please let me know.
Thanks!!

Thanks! I have seen some websites in Germany that have it listed (places that specialize in hard-to-find books like Bibliofind.com ) but they are all in German and only ship to Germany. Like I said, I don't speak or write German so that makes it tricky for me to order! I'm sure it's not hard to find though.

I can read German pretty good. Most books american or german I can get using isdn number. Out of print books I can get because I live in a college town and lots of students and proffs are always looking for old books. I lived right across the autobahn from Zeppelinheim for 2 years and never made it to the museum, when I get time I will snoop around there. Really hard to find stuff i can ask some Zeppelin experts I know. I might trade you for some stuff like material to make a Zepp. I dont know anyone with a laser cutter but guess it would be quite expensive in Germany. I still want to do one in HO scale and if i could just get the rings cut would be a big help. Gondola might be a bear..Im thinking Vacuform and photo etching and casting..gotta see.. anyway give me a week or so and Ill see what I can do. K.W.

PM me! I'm sure we can work something out. I'm short on funds but have lots of great material and I am keen to document and blueprint every major Zeppelin type. Thanks! :)
