I had seen a "built up" model of the hindenburg last christmas... I was unsure which magazine I had seen it, but I know I had the link...
http://www.carterstore.com/authentic/enter.html
go to aircraft and then Large aircraft... and you will see 2 versions...
Not sure if anyone has ever seen this... or has one...
I wish I had the cash!

I think the smaller one is on eBay all the time. It looks rather crude IMO. . The bit about altering the swastika to be "politically correct" and "not offend" people is rather lame. If that offends you, choose another airship! ;)
I have a catalog from Historic Aviation www.historicaviation.com.They list the same two models of the Hindenburg (at least the size is the same) for slightly less cash.As for the politically correct treatment of the swastika, that is unfortunatly necessary to sell in europe as several countrys ban any display of nazi symbolism. You can always cut a circle of white decal to cover whats there and then apply the proper markings.

This model is horrible. I don't have it but the builders of this model randomly put the words Hindenburg and D-LZ129 anywhere! And they forgot the dash between D and LZ129! The way the rest of the model looks is okay, but the rear engine cars seem one panel too high.
