I wasnt sure where to put this so general seemed right? I have been a model Ship builder for years, in the last 20 years the focus was RC. I have a lot of experience with wisswesser plans. These plans were at one time exclusively offered thru Taubmans plans service. Taubmans was bought out by Loyahanna some years ago and their plans were than offered by loyalhanna with in most regards a substantial mark-up. Except....their airship plans. The price has apparently stayed the same. $7.00 dollars per plan which i beleive is nothing more than a single 11x28 to 11x22 sheets at roughly 1/400 scale or there abouts. These plans started being marketed by another fella out west for roughly $10.00 a sheet. His web site is called windjammer-arts.com. Another fella apparently has been marketing these very same plans on e-bay for $16.00 a sheet, again, very same plans. Wisswesser drawings have always, always been questioned on detail or even dimentional accuracy! I have built several ships from his plans and i always had to redraw them to varying degrees based on photos, etc. The point is, in this present airship drawing market which offers very little, they still are a cheap source for a basic start. A Shenandoah/Rc project is my intention with them, assisted by a generous amount of photographs to enhance accuracy! Hope this helps someone.
